I caught just a little bit of Barack Obama's speech to the UN and I have to tell you, I was disgusted! First off, I've grown really tired of his teleprompter speaking style. It grates on you. He speaks the words he reads and you know damn well that he has absolutely no emotional investment in what he's saying. He's a thespian of the lowest order. Now, if he came out and actually spoke on his own from prepared notes, I might think otherwise. But no, that might make the mask slip and we would be able to see who Barack Obama really is.
But I digress.
Why in the world would he even bring up Ferguson, MO? Granted, the lamestream media made sure that story became an international event, but why play it up? Is that intended to put us on the same moral footing as the genocide going on at the hands of ISIS?
Secondly, and this really bugged me, why chastise Israel as not being committed enough to peace? In a nutshell, he puts Israel on a moral equivalence with the Gaza Strip and Hamas? Our only, albeit fading, ally in the Middle East. Obama proves he's an anti-Semite at every turn!
Barack Obama is an absolute disgrace. There were other elements of his speech that I didn't like, especially his bloviating BS about climate change, but the bottom line is this: any speech Barack Obama gives to the United Nations is designed to appease the dictators present and not represent the people of the United States. But then again, you already knew that, right?
Mark my words! Obama's next gig is going to be the United Nations. At that point, we need to kick that obscene organization out of the United States and quit funding them!

Beheadings 101
Do you sense the drip, drip, drip of ISIS beheadings?
We know that they're plugged into social media, which means that they certainly saw Obama's pathetic speech this week. So, what do they do?
They release another beheading video.
These guys are toying with us (the United States). They want nothing more than to drag the U.S. and Great Britain into Iraq. Why?
I thing they've figured out that the U.S. and Great Britain are basically going to do nothing to stop this. Sure, we'll drop some bombs and trumpet our successes in the mainstream media, but, behind the scenes, ISIS will just pick another person to behead.
There is only one way to answer ISIS. BEHEAD them! Bomb them within an inch of their camcorders. Let them record the "dastardly" deeds that the bombing has delivered to them and then wait for an international outcry of "war crimes"! When that happens, bomb them some more, saying
"We win, they lose".
There's only ONE way for this to end. Either they continue to post beheading videos on YouTube or we destroy them ALL!
The sooner the better....and....secure our southern border so the bastards can't come over here! Duh!

Typical Horse Crap from WAPO
As we could expect from the Washington Post, comes this (courtesy of Breitbart Sports):
Then again, how long might it be before all the leftists in this country take exception to the name of the New England "Patriots?" After all, doesn't that promote the ideals of the racist, slave-holding Founders?
Perhaps we should conjure up an appropriate nickname for Team ISIS. What might you suggest? How about the ISIS Wapos?
The Redskins' hometown paper has long called on the team to come up with a new nickname from its editorial-page perch. But the newspaper that brought down Richard Nixon hasn't been as effective in bringing down "Redskins." Impotent to get ownership to change the name, the editorial page has decided to stop using the word that they have long called on the team to stop using. And in true grandstander fashion, the Post uses the forbidden word to headline their editorial boasting that they refuse to use the forbidden word any longer. That's not a promising start to the Washington Redskins becoming the Washington Redacteds. This is so much BS, I don't know where to start. Let's see, should there be a movement to demand that New Orleans change its name because the "Saints" might be offensive to atheists? What about the Miami "Dolphins"? Isn't that an exploitation of a mammal that can't defend itself from accusations about being a violent football player?
The Post announces that "the matter seems clearer to us now than ever, and while we wait for the National Football League to catch up with thoughtful opinion and common decency, we have decided that, except when it is essential for clarity or effect, we will no longer use the slur ourselves." Presumably, the 79 percent of Americans who disagree with the Post don't represent "thoughtful opinion," to say nothing of "common decency."

Unfettered Access to Life's Continuum
Two iconic people, two memorable deaths.
Life is experienced in the here and now, yet we attach such significance to one life over another.
Why?
Are our own lives so insignificant that we must attach a vaunted status to those we do not know, except in movies? Must we trivialize our own lives to think that others are more-esteemed than ours?
Robin Williams died in despair, thinking that the only way out of his life (as it existed) was by his own, self-prescribed death. What a waste of God's gift of life!
Lauren Bacall died as luck would have it, not by a means prescribed by her, but by one that was written by another Hand.
As fellow travelers in this thing we call life, we will always experience both ends of the human continuum. What matters most is to understand that there is a beginning and an end. We can control the end, if we choose, but we can't control the beginning, at least not by our own hand.
Is the ending of life on either end less tragic than the other?

What Does the White House Really Fear?
Call me cynical. This piece at Breitbart.com suggests the Obama administration is fearful of an impeachment push by Congress.
I think they don't speak about their fears. Lending credence to impeachment talk suggests that the Obama administration welcomes it. My cynical mind thinks that if they can goad the Republican-controlled House into initiating impeachment proceedings, it will help them politically in this year's elections.
Consider this: if the House initiates impeachment proceedings, the White House will rail against it as an extremely partisan effort to undermine his presidency, which, of course, would be true! But how would that play in this year's elections? It just might energize the Democrat base to counter an impeachment effort.
Personally, I think the process of impeachment should be left to the next Congress. If we can assume that Republicans win control of the Senate and maintain the House of Representatives, then I think we've got a good brew for impeachment.
In the meantime, I highly encourage members of Congress to talk about it. There's nothing like keeping the narrative going and goading the White House to go ahead and "make my day"! That day can play out after Harry Reid has his ass kicked in the 2014 elections!

It's Time for W to Speak Out!
You know what, I liked George Bush. Hell, I'm a Texan! That alone qualifies me as a supporter of "W".
However....
Conservatism, or even "compassionate conservatism", is not something that becomes a narrative in the mainstream media. It must be talked about constantly!
For 8 years, "W" was in the White House. He could have espoused conservative principles in defense of all the attacks on him, but instead, he chose to "rise above it" and hold the White House and his position as President above the fray. Unfortunately, he is no longer above it all and is reviled as the source of all Barack Obama's failures. What an unbelievable narrative!
Barack Obama has done more to undermine our principles of government and demean the office of President of the United States than any President in the history of our nation! So much about a thought to "rise above it"!
Perhaps W's persistence in maintaining the decorum of office had an expiration date. An expiration date, I say, that expired the minute he transferred power to Barack Obama.
So now W enjoys his leisure, replacing his knees to be able to continue riding bikes. How virtuous! He can enjoy the camaraderie of the bike trail while watching our country go down the tubes...and say nothing.
Countless presidents are rolling over in their graves as they watch the disintegration of our country and all that they stood for. Just think about your life's work being unraveled and how YOU would feel!
Is it too much to ask a living President to defend our heritage and remind the people of the United States that we are much more than Barack Obama?
"Miss me yet?" ..........Not!
While I once thought that George Bush was the embodiment of a Texan, I now think of him as a worthless pussy. How sad!

Heritage
What is heritage?
Dictionary.com defines it thusly:
We in the United States of America have a heritage like no other country that has ever existed on the earth. We have a society built on the premise that all men are created equal and are endowed by their Creator with liberty, among other things.
Our Founders were completely accepting of the main premise of the Enlightenment. They stood in their faith of God and determined that the country would be governed by the principle of individual liberty. That premise is now under assault!
An all-powerful government was the bane of the Founders' existence. They abhorred the thought of it! They sought to build a government that would ensure that the people of the United States would never be subject to the oppression that our Founders endured with England.
Our children laugh at our admonitions to be wary of an all-powerful government. They do not know and have not been taught about the lessons of the past. And yet here we are.
Our government attempts to govern all we do. I can give you a litany, based on current Cabinet positions: Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Heath and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Justice, Labor, State, Transportation, Treasury and Veterans Affairs.
Why is the federal government allowed to be involved in such things?
Because we've been asleep at the switch and we have not taught our children to beware!
Dictionary.com defines it thusly:
her·it·age
[her-i-tij]
noun
1. Something that comes or belongs to one by reason of birth; an inherited lot or portion: a heritage of poverty and suffering; a national heritage of honor, pride, and courage.
Key word is noun. It's something that's tangible.2. Something reserved for one: the heritage of the righteous.3. Law.
b. Any property, especially land, that devolves by right of inheritance.

Privilege Corrupts
I'm continually amazed at people I've known that grew up in "privileged" households. Why do they often turn to socialist thinking? Their parents gave them EVERYTHING, and then some!
I'm not denying their prosperity, I'm just trying to understand their leftist leanings. Why?
I could name people from my childhood, but what's the point? What is it about them that they think that they should dictate to everyone else. Guilt?

America: Imagine the World Without Her
A buddy and I went to see the movie this afternoon. I posted it on my Facebook page and I here is the first comment I got:
Sad, right? And Dave is a conservative. But he raises a good point. We've lost the narrative when the mainstream media can paint a movie as right-wing propaganda, when really, it's just the truth!
The left has stolen the ability to "frame" the narrative.
Is there any hope that the American populace will wake up?

Impeach Obama Now!
In an exclusive post at Breitbart.com, comes this:
Enough is enough of the years of abuse from this president. His unsecured border crisis is the last straw that makes the battered wife say, “no mas.”I whole-heartedly agree. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!
Without borders, there is no nation. Obama knows this. Opening our borders to a flood of illegal immigrants is deliberate. This is his fundamental transformation of America. It’s the only promise he has kept. Discrediting the price paid for America’s exceptionalism over our history, he’s given false hope and taxpayer’s change to millions of foreign nationals who want to sneak into our country illegally. Because of Obama’s purposeful dereliction of duty an untold number of illegal immigrants will kick off their shoes and come on in, competing against Americans for our jobs and limited public services. There is no end in sight as our president prioritizes parties over doing the job he was hired by voters to do. Securing our borders is obviously fundamental here; it goes without saying that it is his job.
The federal government is trillions of dollars in debt; many cities are on the verge of insolvency; our overrun healthcare system, police forces, social services, schools, and our unsustainably generous welfare-state programs are stretched to the max. We average Americans know that. So why has this issue been allowed to be turned upside down with our “leader” creating such unsafe conditions while at the same time obstructing any economic recovery by creating more dependents than he allows producers? His friendly wealthy bipartisan elite, who want cheap foreign labor and can afford for themselves the best “border security” money can buy in their own exclusive communities, do not care that Obama tapped us out.
Have faith that average American workers – native-born and wonderful legal immigrants of all races, backgrounds, and political parties – do care because we’re the ones getting screwed as we’re forced to follow all our government’s rules while others are not required to do so. Many now feel like strangers in their own land. It’s the American worker who is forced to deal with Obama’s latest crisis with our hard-earned tax dollars while middle class wages decrease, sustainable jobs get more scarce, and communities become unrecognizable and bankrupted due to Obama’s flood of illegal immigration.
Who’s looking out for the American workers? Who has their backs? Who fights for them?
We should.
President Obama’s rewarding of lawlessness, including his own, is the foundational problem here. It’s not going to get better, and in fact irreparable harm can be done in this lame-duck term as he continues to make up his own laws as he goes along, and, mark my words, will next meddle in the U.S. Court System with appointments that will forever change the basic interpretation of our Constitution’s role in protecting our rights.
It’s time to impeach; and on behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds, we should vehemently oppose any politician on the left or right who would hesitate in voting for articles of impeachment.
The many impeachable offenses of Barack Obama can no longer be ignored. If after all this he’s not impeachable, then no one is.

I Truly Do Detest Obama!
In a show of unbelievable hubris, Obama had this to say, courtesy of Breitbart News:
“America cannot wait forever for them to act. That’s why today I am beginning a new effort to fix as much of our immigration system as I can on my own, without Congress,” Obama said in the Rose Garden, with Vice President Joe Biden by his side. The President lamented that Republicans have “proven again and again that they're unwilling to stand up against the Tea Party.”I'm sorry, but the Tea Party is the ONLY thing standing up for our founding principles and standing against our Marxist President. The sooner this bastard leaves office or is impeached, the better.

Thinking About Choices for 2016
As we focus on the mid-terms in 2014, I can't help but think about the NEXT election. After all, what do we accomplish in 2014 if we don't gain the Presidency in 2016?
I hark back to the 1980 election, when Ronald Reagan stomped Jimmy Carter. The electoral map is above.
Ronald Reagan had a tough task after his election. The economy was in disarray and our foreign policy was a complete joke. Reagan stood, principled and unbowing, with the belief that free enterprise and a strong military was essential to the health of the United States of America.
He was right. History, at least the history that we were taught, not the history that our kids are taught, showed that Ronald Reagan's first term changed the course of our economy and world history.
Don't take my word for granted. There were a lot of people voting in 1984 that thought the same thing. Take a look at the electoral map from 1984, when Ronald Reagan was challenged by Walter Modale.
Yep, Ronald Reagan did better in his re-election bid.
Now, let's take a look at Barack Obama.
The electorate was torn, wanting to rally behind the first black Presidential nominee.
Barack Obama won in a fairly decisive victory.
What about his re-election?
Damn. Looks pretty similar to 2008 to me, not the overwhelming mandate enjoyed by Ronald Reagan. Then again, Ronald Reagan didn't try to suppress the liberal vote through the IRS, but I digress.
We're now at a crossroads, so what do we do in 2016?
To me, I think we follow Ronald Reagan's lead. I can't think of anyone who would bring that refreshing spirit and conservative drive besides Sarah Palin.
Oh sure, she's been maligned and "tainted" by all the adverse publicity drummed up by the left, making her a "questionable" candidate for the GOP. But don't forget, the same can be said of Reagan, and look what he accomplished! The fall of the Soviet Union and a huge surge in our economy were the fruits of his Presidency.
Unless I get really excited about the emergence of someone new that's truly Reaganesque, I'm going with the most Reaganesque person that exists in America, Sarah Palin. I have a really hard time seeing anyone emerge to take that place.
What about you?

Have You Noticed a Change in Tone?
Truer words never spoken!
Have you notice the tone in the media? It seems to be shifting to a little right of hand-wringing, tempered with a little leftist bit of angst.
Is the mainstream media starting to catch on? Although I doubt it, recent events would suggest that the Obama administration is spinning out of control, unable to address ANY issue in an effective way.
Stay tuned. We may be watching the implosion of the Obama regime. What will they do next?
I suspect we're going to see a NEW initiative/narrative starting Monday.

My Choice for the Democrat's Presidential Nomination: Hillary Clinton
Dear Hillary,
Please run for your party's Presidential nomination. Lord knows, you might just win it! I can't think of anyone better to put up against a conservative Republican. Note that I said "conservative". I'm not talking about RINOs, I'm talking about conservatives. You know, Ted Cruz conservatives.
Oh, you think George W. Bush was a conservative? Au contraire! George Bush was no conservative. Compassionate conservatism is an oxymoron. Conservative doesn't need a qualifier. It stands alone as the predominate mindset of a majority of Americans. It is the essence of compassion, because it assures that everyone gets the same opportunity to succeed....or fail. It has contributed to the greatest economy the world has ever known, not to say the most freedom ever enjoyed by a population.
The problem is that you and your fellow Democrats have decided that failure should not be an option. I say that failure is the biggest motivator of success, because in this country, you can always pick yourself up and try again. Just do a Google search to find out how many successful people in this country failed before they achieved success. They are legion!
Yes, I formally endorse you as the preferred candidate of the Democratic Party for President of the United States. If the Republicans nominate a true conservative, the White House is ours. If not, well, you can preside over the break-up of the United States as we know it.
Thank God I live in Texas!
BTW, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana stand with Texas! Doubt me? Wait until the 2012 election results are in.

Who Will U.S. Special Forces Report To In Iraq?
I'm curious, based on two articles I just saw. Obama is planning on sending 275 U.S. Military personnel to Iraq "for the purpose of protecting US citizens and property, if necessary, and is equipped for combat". He conveyed his intentions in a letter to the U.S. Congress.
In a separate article, there's this from the AP: Iran's general in Iraq, militants seize key city:
My question is this: if John Kerry has already announced the United States' willingness to engage Iran on the defense of Iraq, how will that collaboration manifest itself? Hmmm?In a sign of Iran's deepening involvement in the Iraqi crisis, the commander of Tehran's elite Quds Force is helping Iraq's military and Shiite militias gear up to fight the Sunni insurgents advancing across the country, officials said Monday.

Memorable Story
I met a friend for a drink tonight at our favorite sports bar. As we were sitting at the table, the waitress came over to ask if we would like another drink. My friend answered "surely!"
That reminded me of a time many years ago when I lived in Fort Wayne. We were having dinner at the Fort Wayne Country Club with then-Senator Dan Quayle. He was seated directly across the table from me. To his right sat my Stepfather, Orvas Beers, then GOP Chairman of Allen County and since deceased. To my left sat my brother.
When the waitress came up to Orvas and asked if he'd like a drink, he said "surely", as he was wont to do. I thought nothing of it. At the time, Senator Quayle was talking to numerous people that had come up to the table, seemingly not paying any attention to us.
The waitress went to him and said "Senator Quayle, would you like anything to drink?" He responded by saying "Shirley, I would like to have....." Orvas, my brother and I immediately busted up laughing! Dan Quayle had no idea what we were laughing at.
I'll never forget it! Dan Quayle is not stupid, but that night he was clueless by half!

My Letter to John Boehner
Speaker Boehner,
I was extremely dismayed to see the IRS announce that they had "lost" 2 years' worth of Lois Lerner emails. I find this extremely implausible, given the back-up regimen employed by countless companies and governmental agencies across the country.
I implore you to form a select committee with specific investigative and prosecutorial skills to go after this den of vipers. The lawlessness of the Obama administration is unparalleled in United States history and it must be brought to account.
I know that impeachment is a dirty word in Washington, D.C. right now, but I believe it must be entertained if we are to honor our Constitution as the centerpiece of our governing system.
It's high time to take aggressive steps to reign in the criminal enterprise now occupying the Executive Branch.
Sincerely,
Ernie Vogel
I was extremely dismayed to see the IRS announce that they had "lost" 2 years' worth of Lois Lerner emails. I find this extremely implausible, given the back-up regimen employed by countless companies and governmental agencies across the country.

What Does the White House Have on John Boehner?
What kind of dirt does the White House have on John Boehner? This can be the only possible reason why the Speaker of the House of Representatives hasn't formed a select committee to investigate the IRS scandal. The scandal continues to expand in light of yesterday's news that the IRS has lost two years' worth of Lois Lerner emails. This is an absolute outrage!
Anyone with a true interest in getting to the truth and holding the Obama administration accountable for politicizing the IRS would have formed a select committee months ago. Instead, we're seeing vast swaths of evidence disappear in a poof of megabits and a flood of lies.
As I wrote about last night, this excuse of a hard drive failure causing the loss of emails is laughable on its face. It suggests an Obama predisposition to assume that we are all helpless idiots and would accept such an ridiculous excuse.
Now, because of Boehner's foot-dragging, we are apparently allowing a massive fraud to occur as a way to undermine the House investigation. Speaking of that, the House committee investigating the IRS has now proven itself to be completely impotent in its oversight responsibilities. Is there no one in Republican leadership willing to stand up to the lawlessness of the Obama administration?
We need a full-fledged, criminal investigation to begin immediately! Public hearings should be scheduled with every possible administration official testifying under oath. To hell with the notion that the House of Representatives only represent one-half of one-third of the U.S. Government, as John Boehner puts it.
Let's get this show on the road!

Lost Emails My Ass!
This is amazing! The IRS is claiming that key emails from Lois Lerner to her co-conspirators in the Tea Party targeting scheme have been lost due to a hard drive failure. I call BULLSHIT!
There is absolutely no way those emails could be lost. Backups of data is a key feature of all computer systems these days, especially email. Email servers are backed up daily, weekly and monthly. Moreover, those backups are required to be taken offsite, in the case of a local disaster. This system didn't just evolve that way by happenstance, it was mandated by the federal government!
To suggest that a simple hard drive failure caused the loss of key emails is absurd on its face. If a corporation tried to use this excuse in an IRS or SEC investigation, the key executives would be put in jail.
It's time for John Boehner to get off his ass and form a Select Committee in the House of Representatives to investigate the IRS's targeting of conservative groups. This committee needs to secure all backups AND hard drives at the IRS to ensure that data is not lost in its investigation.
I can't convey the anger I feel. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the Obama administration is truly a criminal enterprise and needs to be prosecuted under the RICO Act!

Cantor Defeated, Now What?
The supposed heir to the throne of the House speakership has gone down to defeat in his Virginia primary race against David Brat, an under-funded candidate who used all his resources to pound Cantor over immigration.
This is a huge victory for the Tea Party and constitutional Americans across the country.
Cantor did little to hide his support of amnesty for illegal immigrants and the voters of Virginia rejected it!
Now, Cantor is dangerous. His love of amnesty could inspire him to cut deals that he would never dream of without the vote of his constituents. Keep your eyes on him America!

The Invasion of Texas
That's right, Texas is being invaded by illegal immigrants. This is not a joke, although President Obama might think so. After all, it is Obama's reckless refusal to enforce our immigration laws that has given the "green light" to everyone in Central America.
If you don't live in Texas, which I do, you probably aren't aware of how serious the problem is. There's a reason I've linked to Breitbart.com. They're one of the few news sites that are actively covering the issue.
Recent estimates are that 1,000 illegal immigrant PER DAY are being apprehended in Texas alone.
Obama is on record as saying that Texas will become a "blue" state in the near future. Now we know how he intends to do it!
A cynical take has been to suggest we need to start shooting illegals on sight. While that is obviously an extreme and undesirable measure, it might be the only disincentive if Barack Obama continues to ignore the problem! Texas is certainly doing everything it can, but the resources to secure the border are supposed to be the responsibility of the federal government.
My sense is that Texas is going to have to step up to the plate. Republican leaders are certainly aware of the problem.

Coming up...The 4th of July!
It's coming up... the 4th of July! Are you ready? Do you have the fireworks in place and the band-aids ready (or tourniquets)? After all, the kiddies don't understand what an out-of-control firework can do.
Sparklers?
I remember sparklers! They were/are awesome! Oh wait! Your kid got burned by a sparkler? I'm so sorry! Did you not teach them to stay away from the stove when the burners were on? No? Then you reap what you sow...idiocy!
M-80's?
Sadly, they don't make them anymore. These were the king of firecrackers! They could blow your hand off, but what the heck, they had a warning on them (see above) and made a LOT of noise! Also, if you packed them in mud and threw them in a pond, they'd sink and explode way underwater, knocking out fish, which would float to the top. A lazy way to fish, but tremendously funny.
Cherry Bombs?
These were really cool, but a notch below M-80's. They'd still split a metal fence post when you dropped one in with a baseball placed on top! They're now known more as a fancy drink.
Bottle Rockets?
Probably the most dangerous of fireworks (if you've been drinking)! After all, you could hold onto the stem, light it, and point it at your brother. When it ignited, all you had to do was let go. The rest was history. It might end up in his hair, on the ground, or in your mother's lap. It guaranteed being disciplined for recklessness!
Black Cats?
Now we're talking! These dudes were the most-versatile of all. You can use them for a wholebunch of things...
Shock! You know, throw a lit one behind your sister as she walks to the car to go to Church! That'll make her pray!
Wait! Your Dad might beat the crap out of you for doing that. On second thought, stay away from throwing Black Cats at your sister. It could be the end of you!
Okay, where were we? Oh yeah, Black Cats!
The most versatile firework every made! You think M-80's were awesome? Try tying 10 Black Cats together! You'll get every bit the effect. It won't be a sudden jolt, but it will get everyone's attention!
Now, if you doubt me, I can tell you a true story. I was probably 13 or so. My 8-year old brother and I were holding down the fort when my Mom went to the store. Yeah, Mom's did that back then, but I digress.
I had one last Black Cat. I wanted to throw it and have it explode in mid-air, but I needed help. I couldn't light it and heave it without help. Answer: my 8 year-old brother. Yeah! He could light it and I could heave it! Perfect plan! How hard is it to light a fuse?
Well, it's apparently harder than I thought. He didn't light it at the very end of the fuse. He lit it about a fraction of an inch from the firecracker. Try as I might, it never left my hand before it went off.
Ouch! I thought my hand had been hit with a hammer! True to form, I quickly decided to beat the crap out of him, but he was saved when my Mom pulled into the driveway as my brother ran off, fearing for his life.
Needless to say, no words were ever spoken. My Mom would have beat the crap out of me!
Lord knows I miss those days...

What Diversion Comes Next?
Conventional wisdom says that the Bowe Bergdahl thing was to divert attention away from the VA scandal, just as Obama was getting set to head to Europe. The Europe trip was key, because he wouldn't have to answer to anyone for awhile while he hobnobbed with the European elite.
What is the Obama team going to do to divert attention away from the Bowe Bergdahl thing?
Me thinks they have more crap up their sleeves!

Bowe Bergdahl - Poster Boy for Idiots!
There's something seriously wrong about this image. Bowe, on the right, seems a bit out of water, posing in front of some Afghanistan wall carpet in military gear. His father, on the left, has adorned himself in the garb of the Taliban and, if reports are correct, learned to speak their language.
How is it that a parent shows support for their son by wearing the enemy's accoutrement? Wouldn't you want to be a proud parent of a United States soldier and wear something more in tune with the red, white and blue?
Just saying!

Socialism: The Human Scourge
Per Dictionary.com
so·cial·ism
[soh-shuh-liz-uhm]
nounThose of you who have been paying attention know what I'm talking about. Those of you who only occasionally pay attention, well, shame on you!
1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.2. procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.3. (in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.
When Barack Obama said he wanted to "fundamentally change" the United States of America, he wasn't kidding. What exactly did you think he meant? More importantly, why did he want to "fundamentally change" the USA? The why is important. What you might have thought he meant by fundamental change is not what you might have thought.
No, fundamental change means departing from the United States Constitution. It means developing a massive federal government bureaucracy, one that controls everything you do and say! Do you think I'm exaggerating? SHAME ON YOU! You're not paying attention!
It's really unbelievable that I should have to list all the ways that Barack Obama is fundamentally changing our way of life. Now that he doesn't have to face re-election, he's working at hyper-speed to get it done.
Let me supply a brief list:
1. Obamacare - This should be the biggest example. Just wait and you'll see why.
2. Foreign Policy - Why does Obama bow and cowtow to terrorists?
3. Domestic Policy - Does the EPA really run the show?
Let's also look at the lawlessness of this President:
1. Benghazi - If you haven't been paying attention, SHAME ON YOU!
2. IRS - There's plenty of material here to keep you interested, if you are.
3. Negotiating with Terrorists - Isn't this something we said we'd never do? From NPR, of all places!
You know what, I'm not going to go on. If so much as ONE person learns something from the above and changes their opinion about our leftist President, I'll have done my job.
And no, disagreeing with Barack Obama and his leftist policies does NOT make you a racist, although our leftist media would certainly like to suggest it!
Get off your ass and quite watching MTV! You might learn something!

Two Events to Pull Back
There have been two events in the past month that have helped me pull back from living a life in despair and aimlessness. The first happened on March 29th when I met the furry creature above. I really wasn't in the market for a new dog, having put my darling Daisy down 8 months earlier
Daisy had been at my side for 16 years and was but a smidgen of a dog, weighing in at just 10 lbs. She was extremely smart and the most lovable dog I've ever owned. Putting her down was a very tough decision and I cried more than I thought I would...for weeks. I really didn't want to deal with another dog in my life....until I met Badger.
The woman that cuts my hair was pregnant with her second child and inexplicably developed an allergy to dogs, after having gotten Badger as a pup. She put out word on Facebook that she had to find a new home for him and I bit. I traveled north to Denton, TX (about 20 miles from home) to kick around the idea, but I was immediately smitten.
I've always gotten dogs as puppies and Badger was a little bit bigger than I was used to, albeit only 8 months old. I've never owned a dog bigger than 25 pounds! At his last vet visit, Badger weighed in at 60 lbs and he might get a little bit bigger before he's full-grown. But he's still a puppy and has stolen my heart.
The second event to happen in the last month was my 21 year-old son moving back from college. The truth is that I needed a break from paying his tuition for a while. Try as I might, I was slowly moving into more and more debt to finance his way. That had to stop, because I want to retire to a life of conservative activism in a few years. Just kidding!
My son has not lived under my roof full-time since his mother and I divorced in 2001. Yes, he was always here on his visitation weekends, but it's just not like living here full-time. To prepare for the occasion, I repainted his room and got rid of everything from the "bunk-bed days". New paint, new furniture, new bed....a grownup's room, not a kid's room.
My son is now 21 and, although I'm feeling rather old, I'm invigorated just the same! I feel a responsibility to steer him in the right direction, a conservative direction, which he's very receptive to. I held court last night when he had friends over (beer pong!) and I did my best to impart my conservative philosophy to all who attended. My neighbor even backed me up!
Just 2 events in the past month have made me feel like I have much more to live for. I'll be back on BlogTalkRadio very soon, just have to finish my son's room.....
I'll keep you posted!

The Outlook is Dismal....Unless
Yes, I feel like we're in a swamp. We're saddled with a White House administration that embraces a totalitarian mindset. It's their way or the highway, despite 200+ years of history that made this country the greatest society that has ever populated the earth....period! To Obama and his minions, it's all about ideology. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!
There are so many things to hate about Washington, D.C. I dare say that if George Washington were alive today, he would be ashamed by what his name has become associated with. He would have been embarrassed during his lifetime to have a city named after him, but so much more so with what it has evolved into.
Keep in mind that George Washington was charged with challenging the same type of intrusive governance that we are challenging today, albeit under his name. How totally disrespectful of the man's legacy!
The colonists reached a breaking point back in the 1770's and I suspect that many of us are at a breaking point now. Although the forces arrayed against us are strong and we have a new breed of "Tories" in our midst, I don't believe we're going to be vanquished anytime soon.
The very same characteristics that enabled this country to gain a footing and withstand King George's onslaught are being brought forth today against Barack Obama. After all, when the economy crumbles and Washington D.C. runs out of its ability to prop up the stock market, what will be left? Hard-working Americans!
Unless I'm wrong, it's the working class that will get this country back on its feet. Not the countless freeloaders that take advantage of government largess and feel entitled to its support. No, it will be the people with a work ethic who keep on striving to get ahead.
When it all comes down, IF it all comes down, take heart! The people that matter are armed, they're industrious, and they're just waiting to prove that the failure of Barack Obama's "fundamental change" will be their opportunity to rise to even greater heights. Let's just hope they've kept a copy of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution in their back pocket!
